Has anybody had a problem
With the battery in a 755t.
My new one which I just received
On warrenty only lasts 30 minutes.

Noticed last night that the battery indicator went from full charged to 3 bars in less than 10 minutes. I usually have it wire powered but last night was adjusting a route and was installing it when I noticed the rapid power drain.
Nuvi 750 and 755T

My 755T always drops the first battery bar after 10 or 15 minutes. It is 11 months old and has always acted this way. I ran a battery test recently starting with a full charge, 50% screen brightness, satellites acquired, but not navigating (just sitting stationary, so no audio drain on the battery). It dropped the 1st bar after 11 minutes, 2nd bar after 30 minutes. I got the low battery warning after 1 hour and 40 minutes, but it remained powered up for almost 2 more hours before shutting down .. a total of just under 3 1/2 hours. So I think the battery meter is wacky.

...which is basically the same unit. Mine started dropping bars immediately after being unplugged to the point where I'd start getting the warning beep within 5 minutes of a full charge.
This was my second unit as the first one had a bad touchscreen... but its battery was fine!
I called Tech Support, they had me send it in & they changed it for me -no problems since. I received my unit back, not a refurbished unit or a new one. Strangely, the return receipt said nothing of the change so I called them back & was told that they'll sometimes change the battery & ship it back without noting it on the bill if it's under warranty. It's working fine & that's all I care about.
Not lost anymore. Well, not as it pertains to driving anyway. -Garmin Nuvi 765t, 56 unt Mac user.

I haven't tested battery life but I can't get their mapupdater to recognize my Garmin (every other application does) and verify eligibility to buy the lifetime updates. I'm ready to send it back and buy another brand.

I think it might be the Traffic sensor that seems to stay on sometimes...But I just wish it was as good as my 660

NUVI 755t Battery
My 755t is new and I've always used it plugged in, but on a trip today, even when plugged in - I got a couple of low baterry warnings - it continued to work & MP3 continued to play but I thought it was odd. I switched outlets and connected a device that is very sensitive to lost power into the outlet where my 755t had been and that device didn't have any problems. has anyone seen that? Also how much does use of MP3 affect battery life?
