GPX FILES

I have downloaded POI file for TGIF which is formated as a GPX file. It went into my Favorite file. How do I download so that it will go into my Custom POI file. Do I change the GPX into .csv file. Need help.
Did you use POI Loader?
Check the FAQ here, but in a nutshell, all POI files, csv or gpx are copied to a folder on your PC. You then run POI Loader to install these files to your 855. They will then show up within Custom POI.
If you copy the POI files directly to the nuvi, they won't work.

using Mapsource, I believe it will put it in favorites. Use POILoader and save it as a POI file under extras.

I think I fixed my problem. What I did is that I put the GPX file in a folder on my desktop, plug my Garmin into my PC and drag the folder into Custom POI. Didn't have to use POI Loader. It worked great.
I have done that with CVS files also.

I agree. The only GPX files I can think of being used in the Garmin unit are related to favorites - Current.GPX etc.

I don't know what happen, but I finally drag the GPX file from my dest top into the Custom POI file and it worked.

Dis-connect the battery from
Dis-connect the battery from the 855 and re-boot and tell us where the gpx is showing up at.
Make sure to go where to,extras and touch custom pois last to check if there.Then look under favorites.
