I'm a new owner of a Garmin 265WT, and I have acouple of questions.
I downloaded a route from Mapquest into the unit, but have no way to access it because the 265WT doesn't save(?) routes. I've looked in the files on the unit and it is there. So how do I get to it?
What exactly is the SD card for? Can I save routes to it and import them into my unit?
What about trips that have been created using AAA's site? Is there any way of transfering them to a GPS?

Welcome abroad. Please read the FAQ section.
The SD card is there for load/play MP3,POI (CSV and GPX), pics, etc.
USE poi loader to load custom POI.
If you unit does not handle routes then you can not load AAA route info correctly. I think it tries but as waypoints not routes. Custom POI can be loaded using POI loader.

As you have found the 265 will not save routes.You can send locations to your favorites using Google and MapQuest maps.The 265 does have via point available.Even though the manual states one via point.Users have found that it will do a lot more then that.When you have a route active select a another stop and touch go then touch add as a via point.Repeat to add another via point .
The 265 will not play mp3's but if you want voice alerts for your custom pois wav files will do the trick.Just a few steps to add to your computer.Just post if you want more info.

...AAA info is formatted for use with Magellan GPS's, due to a contractual arrangement...not sure if route info can be converted to other formats that could be used on Garmin GPS's or not.
please, someone correct me if I am wrong, as I am a AAA member and would like to use with my 765T.

I put 265w in the search above and came up with 4 pages. Try that and see if anything is interesting to you.
If not just put in Nuvi, or just a word that would be in the article that you would like to read.
Most of the Nuvi articles will have something that you may need. The POIs, Routes, Mapsource, etc... are for all of the units.
I also look at a lot of articles that come up daily. You would be supprised to see what is in a lot of them that will help you. I have learned a lot from just reading the discussions even if it didn't have my unit in it.

yeah, i cant get it to work either. a little disappointed. 265wt may just not support routes.
