Nuvi 660 Problems

Recently my 660 has been acting weird. It doesn't tell me to turn within 500ft or turn left when it is time to turn. It outlines it of course on the map, but it won't tell me to turn at all. It does however tells me to turn on Smith Drive within a mile and that is it. Of course when Smith Drive is approaching nothing. If I miss the turn it tells me recalculating. I am lost literally (LOL). Can somebody direct me to a resolution?

Check Voices

You need to make sure that you have a TTS voice selected. Use Jill, Jack or Karen. Do not use American English.

I have it set on British English and American English-jack(TTS).

I am not looking at mine. So this is memory. I think that you misunderstood what I said when not to use American English. There is a difference between the Language of your text for the words on the unit and the Voice that speaks to you. In order to hear Right turn Left turn on Main the Voice file must be a TTS file. Jack is correct. The Language file does not have anything to do with voice, and can be american english.

languages

Are there languages that can be selected where the voice gives a heads up of a turn coming up, and then doesn't say to turn? That doesn't seem like it would be good design if so....

It is doing the same thing. I think I should restore the whole unit.
