I Love My Garmin, But........

I truly love my Garmin but every now and then something happens to make me wonder, does it love me back. Thought I would start a thread on that bases. So.....

I love my Garmin ,but, I just can't seem to get rid of the map Lag in 3D mode. - I learning to live with it.

I love my Garmin, but, sometimes it tells me to go straight when around the block is quicker. -I turn it off for a minute as punishment.

GPS rarely can compete with route a knowlegable person would do

It would be great if the GPS learned from how we override it to make better routes in the future.

Route Planning by Garmin

I agree. The only way to get it to go along your preferred route is by carefully selected waypoints. If I were working for Garmin, I'd want to work on that one.

I do love my Garmin

I never travel with out one. I have started bringing my c580 with me on long trips. It has never ever locked up or failed in ~ 50,000 miles. The nuvi 760 has not failed on the road, but has not booted for me twice at home (and wouldn't with the usb either). I got it back by charging over night and then trying again. Not something i want to experience on the road...

I have found that the Garmin is faster than me trying to find someplace the first time, but after that its View Map mode for me....
