Custom POI import into Mapsource trouble

I am having trouble getting a custom POI file into Mapsource. I have started with a csv file and converted it to gpx with two different utilities. Both times Mapsource tells me it it unable to import the file. I'm running 6.15.6. This seems like it should be easy. Any help? I'll insert a sample of the csv file and the top of the converted gpx file below.

I left out the gpx data as it does not display here in the same way it displays in a text editor

csv:
-92807777,44750555,St. Croix,Mile 0
-92805555,44766388,St. Croix,Mile 1
-92798611,44779444,St. Croix,Mile 2
-92786111,44790833,St. Croix,Mile 3

Well, ignoring the spam post above ... [fixed]

To the OP, you need to swap the first and second column.

Custom POI files are formatted at long, lat, name, description.

Most other situations call for the coordinates to be lat, long.

I swapped the lat and lon

I swapped the lat and lon fields and I am still getting the same error from Mapsource. The method I'm using is File:Open on the resulting gpx file derived from the conversion tool. I'm still confused. I thought maybe it was software yesterday. Now it appears to be operator error. I hate it when that happens.

MM, please explain your spam comment. I don't follow.

Not sure if typo but the coordinates should be

-92.807777,44.750555,St. Croix,Mile 0
-92.805555,44.766388,St. Croix,Mile 1
-92.798611,44.779444,St. Croix,Mile 2
-92.786111,44.790833,St. Croix,Mile 3

The problem is in decimal

The problem is in decimal formatting. My original data was integer format. After manipulating the decimal place with Excel, all appears to be good. The field order illustrated in my original post is correct. The resulting gpx file views correctly in Extra_POI_Editor. However, Mapsource continues to throw the same error.

I used your 4 examples as posted and added the decimal place using excel to create a csv file then went to Extra Poi Editor to create the gpx.Open up in Mapsource vesion 6.15.6 with no error.I am using windows not a Mac.

The next step was to take

The next step was to take the gpx file that came out of MacGarminTools and re-write it as a gpx file again using Extra_POI_Editor. Mapsource opened that file successfully.

MacGarminTools must write a slightly different version? Smells more like another quirk in Mapsource.

Neither Mapsource nor the Oregon400t recognized the gpx file as written by MacGarminTools.

.

What about using GPS Visualizer instead to create the GPX file?

Extra Poi Editor gives you

Extra Poi Editor gives you the advantage to send a csv file to it and in the same program open in Mapsource using the tools option. The program takes care of the conversion.

Alleluia! LOL!

These days, I am thinking of writing my first application on a Mac. Never touched a Mac in the past, so it may never happen. At least, I will be able to see what MacGarminTools does...
