Deleting unwanted POI file

I have a Garmin NUVI 680 and am new to POI files. Is there a procedure to delete a single, installed POI file without erasing and reinstalling all of the POI files with POI Loader? The only thing I've figured out so far is to delete the poi.gpi file and start over (reinstall all desired POI files).

TIA.

No, you can't do that since

No, you can't do that since the individual files all get combined by POI Loader into the poi.gpi file and don't exist individually on your GPSr.

As you have said, you just have to delete the one(s) you don't want from your PC and re-run POI Loader.

OK-thanks for the prompt

Actually, there is a way, not necessarily to "delete" a single poi file, but "to keep" a particular poi file.
Since you've already found the /garmin/poi.gpi
file. Load the poi file that you want to keep, then rename it with the .gpi extension (do this inside of the garmin folder where the poi.gpi is). It will remain no matter how many times you run poi loader.
(Poi loader replaces the poi.gpi each time it's run)
