You have been a member here for almost two years, and you suddenly ask if anyone here knows how to create POI files? And then you post a link to an editor elsewhere, when all that is really needed to create POI files is a simple text editor or a spreadsheet like Excel or the free Open Office spreadsheet? (I personally use a text editor and then do the final conversion to comma delimited text or Comma Separated Vector CSV files with a simple script. This allows me to organize the data much more cleanly.)

Did you really want to know if anyone here knows how to create POI files? That seems a very strange thing to ask. Did you ask that just to have a reason to answer yourself and post the link less than a half hour later? Some forums would consider posting such a link as spamming the forum, but this firum seems extremely open to posting outside links (even when they look like advertisements for products of questionable merit). If you just wanted to post the link I think you could have done that without asking if anyone here knew how to create POI files.

First of all, i had my Garmin nuvi stolen over a year ago and since then i havent had a new one until recently and i just began using this site again , so i had to brush up on certain topics.
Sorry if i annoyed or created confusion among some

Look at this and you will find a link for Creating POI Files. Or you can do a search for Creating POIs and get some good help.
