Still new to POI - I have a bunch I've verified and put on my Nuvi 350. However there are a few files (Greensboro NC parks, streams etc) that I'd relaly love to see combined in one POI file - it'd be easeier to search, load etc.
Whats the easiest way to combine these POI files?

If they are .csv files, just cut and paste. Open up each file in Excel. In the first file, highlight all of the data (3 or 4 columns) and copy. Open the second file and past the data at the bottom of the list. Do the same for each file until you have a single file. Then save the excel sheet as a .csv file under whatever name you want.
Not sure why you want to do this. Using POI Loader 2.4.0.1 (beta) you can have subfolders and it is easy to use them to categorize the data on your gps.

Be Careful with Excel
If they are .csv files, just cut and paste. Open up each file in Excel.
A person has to be careful with Excel as it will convert data to its liking. That's what happen with the zipcode file. After changing all of the zip codes to text (00500) and saving it, then opening it again, the 00500 was changed to 500 (numerical). After using Excel, I always like to check the data with a text editor (Notepad).

I have an easier suggestion, one of the active members here has come up with a program that will combine poi files. Open one, then import the next right in and now you have one file. You want to convert a csv file to gpx you can do that too. Is your gpsr capable of dialing a number with just one push of a button? This program makes that happen too. When opening a file it will look for phone numbers and put it where it needs to be.
However, right now it has some limits. But worth checking out.

Simple Program
photomatt,
I have a simple program that will do this. I did this already for a few people on here with the KOA files I downloaded. I will be glad to send you the file in Zip format.
I believe the name of the program is POIConverter V3.18. If you still want me to send it to you send me an email.

v.2.4.0.1(beta)?
I just bought 350 and new to this site.
I dl from the Garmin site the version 2.3.2.
Does v.2.3.2 manage subfolders as well?
Also, my 350 only reads 50 entries per location.
Is it normal?

Yes, this is normal. Your unit will only list the 50 entries that are closest to your current location. All the entries are there, Move to a different location and you'll see others.

Would it be possible to get the KOA files from you? I'm looking for KOA's in the West but will take whatever you can send me.
