nuvi 1490t and 2010.20 one time update

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems,downloaded update just fine,clicked extract,after about 20 mins window pops up says extracting,after 2.5 hrs still on 0 percent,
any thoughts ?

I've heard of delays with Windows Vista, but not this long.

You may want to try the method here:

but before trying that, if you use Vista, you may do as described in the first comment to the link and temporarily disable UAC before starting the installation.

7-Zip

After I downloaded the 2010.20 map file, I used the free 7-Zip program to extract the contents of the rar file. Took about 7 minutes on my 3.2GHz, P4 PC.

GOT UPDATE TO WORK

THANKS FOR THE REPLYS,ALL IS GOOD,IT WAS THE UAC NEEDED TO BE SHUT OFF,AND THEN START FROM SCRATCH,WORKED LIKE A CHARM.
