Custom POIs do not display - at ANY zoom level...HELP!

nuvi 200w

I've downloaded poi files and loaded them with no problem. I can find them and set one as a destination from EXTRAS, CUSTOM POIs. But, from what I'm reading, they should automatically display just as other, pre-loaded POIs display on the map....right?

Any help appreciated!

Try zooming to 200 feet or closer in a 2D map mode.

POI files are only half

The files are only half of what you need. You need to download the icon for the POI as well. Icons go in the same folder as the POI file, and they must have the same name with the exception of the extension. The most common reason an icon will not display is it has a double extension (name.bmp.bmp).

With a 200 series, if you want a sound alert, you need to put SOX.EXE in the same PROGRAM FILE FOLDER as POILoader.exe and load WAV files.
