Garmin 265wt issue (lost constellation)

My GPS has lost the constellation twice while it is in use, Once in Allentown,PA and now here in Oakland,CA
It was working just fine then without any warning or inputs it told me I was 4 blocks away from where I actually was. I was heading back to the hotel, same route used for 4 days, Straight down San Pablo Ave to University Ave, This has occurred befor the 5.30 update and after. The GPS was not left in the sun when the rentalwas parked. It took over 8 hrs for it to reacquire more than 3 sats.

Anyone else have an issue like this? my gps is up to date with the 5.30 software. I still hasve the 2009 maps.

In Allentown, it just stopped working, NO sats for over 3 hrs, then it tracked 2 for about 4 more hours.

It isn't abused, left in the sun, batteries are charged/

Just don't have a clue why it dies, then takes several hours to recover

Any one have a clue??

Going to that tommorow. It

Going to that tommorow. It lost where it was going on I-580 to San Francisco today. It showed me in the bay!! This is the third time, twice while here in Cal. Got a reference from the other 265wt post on exactly how to back it up and perform a reset correctly.

Will let you know when complete.

Tried the "touch the screen"

Tried the "touch the screen" reset, not the reset button on the bottom. Works so - so ok, It now alerts me to turns at about the same time I need to turn?? It does know the constellation now. I will try it a few more days then try the button reset.

So far, my 265wt has been a real quirky device, not like my 780

Still workin it!
