Is there a way to remove the layer "Custom POI" under "Extras" on my Garmin? It seems a needless layer to dig through. Is this a necessary level? Is there something else that should/would be listed under "Extra"?
I've got all of my POI in order, as suggested here at the Factory. I keep them in a "my POI" folder & have sub folders for restaurants, stores, national attractions, etc.
Thanks.

There is no way to remove the Custom POI level under Extras.
And you asked what other things would be listed under Extras. I believe Mad Maps are listed under Extras, but I don't have any installed so not 100% certain.
I figured as much
... but it never hurts to ask. Thanks for getting back with me.
Not lost anymore. Well, not as it pertains to driving anyway. -Garmin Nuvi 765t, 56 unt Mac user.
Mad Maps
Mad Maps are under extras. You can also get travel guides off the internet (through Garmin's site), and I would think this is where they are also located.

Travel guide too.
Yes, I have seend the Feder's and Marco Polo's travel guides in there.
Sadly, those files are encrypted and I never figured out why they appear under Extra. I would wanted to do the same.
