Hi all, new here I had a quick question about some of the Red light POIs I downloaded yesterday, I tried one out and it worked perfect, but I was wondering if there was a way to edit the text on the alert on the screen.
For example it will say "Alert: Red Light Camera.01w48" Is there any way to get it not to display the ".01w48" part of the text?? I'd like it just to display "Alert: Red Light Camera" It's not a huge deal, but I was just wondering if it was possible. Thanks!

Try the beta version -- it has the cross streets and not the code.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

I would also like to know where to find the beta version of Red Light POIs.
BTW. Just got back from a trip to New Orleans. The gps worked great. A big help for finding locations, restaurants, etc.
beta found
Oops. I spoke too soon. The Beta version appears when you hit the 'download' button. It opens a zip file and beta is one of the files zipped.

those strange letters and numbers are used to identify the camera in Miss POI's database. They also help in identifying pirated copies of the database being offered by others. The POI-Factory database is protected.

Nearly all of POI Factory's content is free, but enforcement camera locations are reserved for users who are currently helping support the web site.

Finally found out a few days ago that I just needed to edit column "C" in excel to edit what appears on the alert screen. Easy enough heh.
