Billy Mays Dies

I mentioned to my wife that Billy Mays had died. She replied "that's awful! I can't believe Willie Mays is gone." I guess there are a few people that didn't know him.

i cant believe it. Liam Neeson's wife died like that too. i guess you are not supose to go to sleep if you feel bad.

Yea, that is unbelievable. I live in the Tampa area and we heard it early yesterday. On Saturday he was interviewed on local TV about the hard landing and said he hit his head.

You should have told your wife so she could pick the right Mays, one was an outfielder and the other a pitcher.

Billy was of an age where he might indeed have named for baseball star Willie Mays. I'm sure there's a story there somewhere.

Yeah, so everybody assumed Billy died yesterday of a subdural hematoma or some other issue related to bumping his head, because that can happen. Hit your head, go to sleep, nobody's monitoring you to make sure you're okay, you can deteriorate markedly or even die after a head injury. But the preliminary ruling is that there was no sign of head trauma and the flight had nothing to do with Billy's death. They think his death was a result of heart disease.

Billy Mays was quite a pitch man. We just watched an entertaining news story on him just a few weeks ago. It is ashamed that he died.

In that perspective it's been a HORRIBLE week

According to the Coronors report there was no sign of head trauma, but he had hypertensive heart disease, which he said is a common cause of sudden death.

Actually, it was heart disease.

He will be missed

This is just sad, I enjoyed watching his commercial.

Although advertisers are paying for commercial television broadcasts, they are guests in my home. When they shout, though I dive for the remote mute button, I resent their presence.

When Vince heard, he couldn't believe it. He exclaimed, "No Sham? Wow!"

Tough week for celebs. There droping like flys. You just never know when its your turn to go.

It's a shame that Billy Mays has past away. Now we're stuck with the sham wow guy.

While I will always feel saddened to learn of the death of a fellow Human Being....How am I going to know what I need to buy from now on???? This is all too confusing. Maybe my elected representatives can help me out from now on...Or maybe the Sham WOW guy will help me.

So many celebs dying recently, and quite young. I think Billy Mays is the only one that died of heart disease.

I don't even know Ed McMahan had died. I still can't believe Michael Jackson is dead.

It's not a safe time to be a celebrity.

He is probably the only info-mercial person that I actually did not mind listening to.

In the paper they said he had some heart problems that he may not have known about. It's too bad because on the reality show the Australian guy and Mays said they research products before they pitched it and only pitched items and companies that worked. I have bought items not from TV but from the store that they have pitched.

I wonder what is going to happen to the show "Pitchmen" that he did with Sully

Turn it into "Pitchman"... or add Vince the Sham-wow guy to keep the "men" title... or, they'll air what un-aired shows they have that are finished, and cancel it.
