I transferred a bunch of POIs from Live.com (now known as Bing) maps to my new nuvi 755T. Now I learned here that each new POI loader session will overwrite what's already on the GPS sensor, which would wipe out the points from the web.
How can I extract those custom web points from the GPS to my computer? I want to combine them with others already on my computer from POI-factory.
If I can't extract them to my computer, it means a lot of duplicate effort.
Thanx!

POIs from online mapping sites (Google, Mapquest, Bing) are merged with your existing favourites. They are transferred to your GPS using Garmin Communicator, not POI Loader.
If you wish to convert them from favourites to custom POIs, copy the current.gpx file from the \Garmin\GPX folder on your nuvi to your PC and edit the individual waypoints.

Favorites vs custom POIs
So if the points from Bing are considered Favorites and will not be overwritten by custom POIs from the POI loader, then I'm good.
I didn't realize there was a difference like that.
Interestingly, I did copy the current.gpx file off the Garmin and it does contain those very same Bing favorites. Being different from poi.gpi I guess they are, in fact, safe. I just wanted be safe rather than sorry.
Thanx!
You're welcome boteman
The POIs from Send to GPS are transferred as temporary .gpx files which are deleted after the nuvi reboots. You can examine them in the \Garmin\gpx folder before disconnecting your nuvi from your PC.
