Is there anyway to open the *.gpi file and look at details?

I originally installed the cameras, shell, walgreens, and other poi files on my 760 unit.

I'm now installing for my aunt's 255w unit she just bought but I don't remember some of the individual POI settings I selected for my own unit!
ex: I know I selected xxxft for the redlight camera.
The default "1320ft" is a little ridiculous when driving in the city because you will be hearing alert sounds for cameras that are up to 2 streets to the left or right and not even on your route)
The default 1320ft alert is good if you live/commute in rural areas and surburbia. I don't think it's adequate for cities though.

Yes, I've got the sound and sox.exe stuff all figured out and they worked fine when I did the test just now.
I just don't remember my installed options that I selected when I originally installed my POI's.

Does Turbo's CCC program do this? I had an impression that his program was a poi editor(.csv files, etc...) and not a .gpi file editor?

.

Also, there seems to be some random "006D135900.gpi" file in the poi folder.
Is that the random millions of POI that comes with the unit or what? I don't seem to recall that in the poi folder of my 760 unit.

Also, I see that there are different voices compared to my unit.
Can one copy a voice from a 255w and load it on a 760 (and vice versa)?
I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet to find out which is better but I use American Jill for my 760.

.

You don't have to look within the gpi file to find the alert distances. If you select a specific POI location, it brings up a green GO! button. On that same page, it advises what distance and speed settings were established at the time of loading.

Also, if your aunt can live with the same settings as you have, just send her a copy of your POI.gpi file.

No, the built-in POIs are not visible as a separate file -- they are part of the map.

No, if Web Updater does not offer you a specific voice for download to your unit, it is not meant to work on your unit. The voice files are specific to certain models.
