Mapquest routes in my data files

Nuvi 750. When I go to Tools, My Data, Import, I see a lot of entries that are listed Mapquest 568, Mapquest 635, Mapquest 962, etc.

My question is "How did they get there and how can I delete them"? I ran the files and they all go the same route and to the same place. I tried using the Nuvi delete function but they are still there. I can't find them when the Nuvi is hooked to the computer. Any ideas?

Thanks

are you saying that you never created these on the Mapquest site, and with your 750 connected by USB, sent the routes to your GPS?

Mapquest routes in my data files

No, I did try once or twice to send a route using Mapquest but found out that Nuvi ignores these settings and does its' own routing.

My question remains, "How can I delete them?"

I am awaiting a 765T replacement

if I had it in front of me, I would refresh my memory as to how those are deleted, as I have done the same thing as you, and found that the nuvi recalculated anyway.

I am sure someone will answer before I get mine and can post the answer.

as for sending Mapquest routes, you can drag a route on the site to force it to take the path you want...it will create a little dot at the intersection...the key is to right click that and make it a viapoint, and THEN send it to your nuvi...the only bad part is, the nuvi will announce the arrival at that location, as well as follow that route.

one more thing...if I am not mistaken, as the point that you send the route to your nuvi, you can edit the name...if you wish to try this a couple of times to see if it is a suitable workaround for you, it might be useful to name the route, instead of leaving the default Mapquest XXX format, so that you can keep them seperate as you evaluate them
