The other day my unit stopped during boot up and informed me that my maps are over a year old and that I should update them. Of course I ignored it. Was wondering if it will keep prompting me. Anyone else run into this and is there a way around it?
Old map warning
A while back I was getting those messages also, but it popped up only every once in a while. It was not a continuous nag.
Lately I've been up to date with maps.
.
Yeah, it will go away after a little while.
The nag i have been getting
The nag i have been getting since I installed custom POI on my memory card is, every time I turn the unit on a message pops up saying if I want to install the POI so it can be read if the card is removed. I always say no because I dont want the custom POI on the garmin drive. I am wondering when or if the message will go away.

To make it go away....
answer YES and then on the next screen select "skip" and check "don't ask me again"
That will leave everything as it is and stop the message. That interface is really a kludge.

Thanks for all the comments
Have not seen it again!
Re: nag message
You have to check mark the "I do not want to see this message again" or something similar. Then say NO. What it wants you to do is add all the custom POI to the main memory. I assume you want them on the card, thats why I bought my card. (extra storage).
