Flying J File.

Hi.
I downloaded the GPS file from the Flying-J website. When I want to load it to the Nuvi there is a message something like invalid file or so. How can that be done?
Thanks.

Flying J files

The Flying J files from the company website have to be "massaged" to get them to work in a Garmin or many other units. The massaged files are in the POI section of this website, I recommend you pull the files you need from here and get the corrected format.

No Luck.

I searched for the massaged files but didn't find anything. Can someone please enlighten me and help me out? I also would like to know how to use it to make the Flying-J file work.

Check this node for the

Check this node for the flying J truck stops http://www.poi-factory.com/node/491
If they're in .csv or.gpx format, simply use POI Loader and transfer them to your Garmin. If you have any other custom POI's loaded, be sure to copy the Flying J's into your custom POI file on your PC before transferring the Flying J files to your Garmin so that the whole Custom POI file is loaded otherwise any previous custom POI's will be removed and you'll only have the Flying J file.

I have this in my Nuvi but there are a lot more locations in that file from their website. That is why I would like to have it in my Nuvi.

Just a note to other users

Just a note to other users on this thread, the Flying J website download has the same number POIs as the node above that Bushmaster references....269 gas stations. Same some time and just go to the node above.

Also, thanks to whoever on this site that massaged the Flying J data into a readable cvs file.

Cheers,
Jim

The file from the website has errors which have been corrected in the file on POI-Factory.
