It appears that the Factory has been alot of new sign-ups trying to drum up work for there services, i feel that this int the place for such things, we all love the Factory we do NOT need anyone selling there services!! if you want to be part of the Factory contribute by helping people with there issues not offering to fix it for a price!

just my view!!

sorry Jon,MaryAnn, pull this if i have gone too far1 smile

.

Are you talking about the Sponsored Links that appear at the bottom of a thread? They only appear if you are not logged in. I think that Jon & MaryAnn have the right to support their website with these ads. My 2 cents.

If this is not what you are referring to, I apologize for the comment.

NO,NO, Not the ad's , the people that sign up just to push there services!! i whole heartedly support the ad,s it is a great way to offset the cost of the site!, i just feel that when peopl esign up for the sole purpose to push there wares/ services is wrong, my 2 cents worth!!! help the factory, contribute , smile OFFER to help not offer to sell a service or product!

150298 sounds like a troll.

I'm sure if the "Factory" has a policy against that type of behavior, they will take the appropriate action. 150298 has only been a member for 18 hours and may not have caught the attention of the Mgmt.

Can be a fine line sometimes

I think it's a fine line sometimes. There are some VERY valuable participants here that also have (or had) commercial interests. RT and Phil come to mind. I have no problem with the author of X recommending X as a solution to a person's question.

What appeared to me to be "over the line" was the aggressive nature of this person, without any real participation or contribution to the discussions or the site itself.

I think what is showing here is the difference in maturity of the individuals. It's not that hard to get a tasteful plug in once in a while and no one would mind. At least I wouldn't.

Members that join simply to

Members that join simply to sell their services should be prohibited. This is not a site for free advertising. The site owners are certainly a different situation.

What's the deal with these

What's the deal with these one word threads? Couldn't be bothered to make them a bit more explanatory and useful?
