.

I tried one out for a day. Not bad but TT still hasn't fixed the terrible pronunciations and errors with the computer voices.

The screen was as bright at 100% as the Nuvi 260 set at 50%. It sounds like a lot but it's not that much. The TT has a warmer screen where the whites were yellowish rather than the bluish white of the Nuvi.

It recalculated about one to two seconds slower than the Nuvi but I had the IQ routes turned on. The sound is very, very loud at 100%...too loud. I used 40-60%. I really liked that the sound increased at higher speeds. Helps on the freeways.

Other than the usual differences between a TT and Nuvi, the lane assistance and junction view and what I mentioned above were the only differences between the TT and Nuvi. The TT is great if you like all the customization tools. I liked some but not all. I really wish there was a master list where you can turn all features on, set up the unit, then turn off all except what you need day to day. I don't need the calculator/guides/cities/or many pois everyday.

The 140S was a fun unit to use for a day and a great bargin at $169 considering its feature set.

I'll stick with the Nuvi because as much as all the extra features a TT has can be fun, I don't want to fiddle with the GPS too much going 70mph.

Set it and forget it

I'm not sure what fiddling you had to do with the unit while driving once it was set up. I don't have to make any changes to my GO 930 after I have it set up the way I want it.
