one time upgrade

A few days ago I bought the one time update from garmin to update my original 350(i was tired of the outdate maps alert) After downloading and installing(a time consuming process) it installed version 2009.11 and version 6.0 on my 350 and 2009.11 on my comuter garmin map.Great. But went I got to a area with a lot of detail the 350 would lock up(1st time ever) It did this about six times. Was I mad.
Anyway a fix was to set it from "most" detail to "more" detail. Seems like the most detail was overloading the 350.
any one else run into this?

Be careful when using American Express

I, too, just did a recent upgrade to my nuvi 750. I really didn't notice what you mentioned but wanted to give everyone a "head's up' on what I did run into.

When I first attempted to purchase the one time upgrade I used my American Express card... I got a server error twice in a row so I switched and tried my Visa and it worked without issues. The reason I bring this up is I received my American Express bill on Saturday and to my surprise there were two charges to Garmin.

I contacted Garmin and they show the charges and apologized for the error and are working with American Express to credit the charges. Excellent customer support on their part.

But if you are purchasing an upgrade and get a server error... make a note and contact Garmin immediately because more than likely your card has been charged!

Nuvi 760

when on a secured server

and using a credit card you should only hit enter one time. Using a specific card, the Garmin Website or any other will generate the same error, duplicate entries.

So being extra careful with key strokes when using credit cards is always recommended.
