Hello,
This is my first posting! I use my C330 on my motorcycle and don't want to install another lighter socket. Has anyone hard wired the C330 without the 12 volt adapter?
I think this is a GREAT sight! I plan to use it alot!

TJ Sparky, welcome to the site. There are a great many here using the C330 and you will probably get an answer on hardwiring it to your bike.

The c330 was my first car navigation unit. I use it in my work truck now that I bought a nuvi.

Yes, you can do this on the C330. It's plug doesn't contain a traffic receiver. It does make it impractical for you to use it on another vehicle, since you won't be able to use the power cord.
Have you considered using an accessory plug that allows more that one accessory to be plugged it at a time. They are very inexpensive and keep you from having to destroy the power cord.

Now that I know I don't have to use the adapter, I will install a 2 pin waterproof connector on the C330 power cord and take the adapter and install an additional mating plug on it. This way I can use the C330 on my vehicles and the 1500 Gold Wing!
