It's Asian to me!!!!

I have a nuvi 200w, and I recently logged on to the Garmin web site and saw that I had an update that was available. It was a map update for 2009, so I downloaded it (which took about 7 hour from start to finish). When I turned on my unit I noticed in the "Recently Found" folder, I had what looked to be address's that had a number then part of a word (which looked to be the begining of a street name) and the rest was Asian writting. Anyone know anything about this? shock shock

.

I forget what her name was but I think she's been getting around quite a bit via that map update program. Just ignore her and she should go away...laugh out loud

Seriously, I really don't know & have never seen that on my units.

Have you downloaded the new

Have you downloaded the new updates. I think I deleted them but I'm not sure. I'm just not sure if I have a bunch of them now stored in the units memory.

I recently downloaded the

I recently downloaded the new update with no problems. Took about 5 hours total. I checked my recently found folder and had nothing strange there. If the recently found folder is messed up somehow, just clear out the folder, I clear mine out every few weeks.

Delete, Delete

That isn't something that's been posted in any of the Numap threads but since it's in your 'recently found' folder just delete it.

BTW if you're still using a dial up modem the next time you want to grab a new map, you might want to choose to have the DVD sent to you. Seven hours for a download is just asking for disconnections and glitches in the file.

Cheers wink

Thanks everyone for your

Thanks everyone for your input. I love my GPS (more than my wife and the cat, well maybe not as much as the cat!) so it was very tramatic when I saw something wrong with it.
