Convinced oldskoolers to use GPS

I've had my Garmin 350 for about 3-4 years now (i think). Friends and family made fun of me for having one. Others, make fun of me because they just think it's too difficult to use.

One day my in-laws were traveling, I insisted that they take my nuvi with them on their trip. "I'll never use it!", shut up and listen so I can explain how the basic operations of the nuvi. When they came back from their trip, "can you buy me one exactly the same?". Popped their cherry!

Now they've just asked me to purchase 3 more for their office so their employees can borrow them for business travel. Since we do business all over the globe, I helped them purchase something with the basic features but offers maps for US and Europe, something that we'll definitely use (nuvi 275t).

If you have something similar, Please post your story for us to read.

GPS

Hehe...good story.

I still can't get my wife to use one though. She's too unwilling to learn it even though they're easy to use now.

I can relate to that my wife

I can relate to that my wife isn't interested in any of my electronic toys either. I try to get her to use the gps and she doesn't want to be bothered.

Old schoolers? is there really such a thing, because you can indeed teach an old dog new tricks.
You just have to open their minds to new things, like you did.

Damm, my wife must be super smart, She uses a Tivo, and a handful of GPSr's (what ever happens to be on the counter at the moment),can even changes the clock in the car when it's needed to fall back or spring ahead.

I have taught many elderly folk to use a GPSr, the hardest part is getting them to try it, once they have it's all down hill from there.
