Audio Book Question, Folder?

Nuvi 660, downloaded a few books which were in 1-5 file segments. Can and should these be put into a special folder for each book title, or simply al intermingled together? tia

I combine them in my mp3 folder

Exception: Audible.com books are put in their own folder...

The gps doesn't care, but putting them in separate folders makes it easy to remove them when you've finished "reading" the book. Also, make sure the files are named such that they play in order when you choose "Play All".

New question,,,,it seems

New question,,,,it seems that the segments of these books is in MP3 format, and the Nuvi doesn't see it an audio book. Will I have to play these as MP3 audio, or is there a converter for the audio book utility?

What kind of books can we load?

So what kind of audiobooks can we play on the nuvis?

only ones from Audible.com?

Roleplaying Canuck Gamer with: Nuvi 760 & 2595 LMT (Map Ver.: 2019.30) 2012 RAM 1500 4x4 Big Horn Quad

you can play any that are in Mp3 format

Yes you have to listen to them as mp3 files. No you can't convert them. (I tried, and tried and tried)

You might try Audible.com/garmin, I got three free books for trying it, you can then cancel within 30 days and not get charged.

(Be sure to add /garmin after audible.com)

Edit I just checked, the offer is still valid... wink

Thanks for all the help

Thanks for all the help, good stuff! I slipped on my free books, got one soon after getting the 660, but waited till now to get another, so 30 days got me. I'll play them in MP3 format, cool!

Is there any favorite sites today for free audio books, without having to give a CC#?

Try your library.

Library, Cool!

I did locate a county library, searched around and found tons of material, e-book, audio-book and MP3 formats. Will all three formats be usable on the 660? I assume that the MP3 will by default, right? Thanks again for the help!

I quickly did research on the web and think I found my answers. I;ll pick a few up tomorrow and experiment with them.
