Anyone able to pair a C550 with an Iphone?

I have a 1st gen Iphone and am having problems pairing - I turn on bluetooth on both devices, but get an error pairing to phone on the C550.

i'm on the latest update on the iphone - not sure what firmware on the C550, though.

Also, can anyone verify the functionality I can use? What i'm trying to do is use bluetooth to listen to my audiobook on my iphone.

My truck didn't come with an auxillary input so I have been using an FM transmitter and the connection is really bad.

thanks alot.

Their are a couple things you can do, one is get a cassette input adapter that can be found here:

Or you can change your FM transmitter for over the air to Hard wired, This is what I have and it don't get any better than this.:

I myself prefer the second Hardwired choice, because of clairity.

The built in Garmin FM transmitters are total junk, not by their design but by the governing of the FCC and very low power, so it doesn't bother cars around you.
