arrgh

after much struggling i found it doesnt do maps over 2 gigs.
stupid XT
managed to split the map into 4 maps and then loaded :
gmapsup2.img
gmapsupp.img
gmapprom.img
gmapbmap.img
each at 1.99 gigs with multiple maps in each. no .unls required. sw.unl is the only one required.
downloaded support, basemap and gmxt 5 from garmin.com
got the red light cameras on it and custom waypoints came on after i hit import when hovering over the favourites icon in my data.

Garmin Mobile XT

I just bought Garmin Mobile XT recently and I have had some frustration with it getting it set up, but it seems to be working great. The people at GPS Passion forum are pretty knowledgeable of this product.
