after downloading a red light camera update, is it necessary to delete the previous file?...or will the new file simply overwrite the old one?

Updates
No need to delete -- the old locations in your GPS will be replaced when you run POI Loader.

red lights data
I was thinking of that myself.. One way that I was thinking is to bring it in to excel and sort it by long/lat and pull out the ones that are around your area.. What do you think, will it work?

Editing Excel poi files.....
I am not too proficient in Excel, but my daughter uses it a lot, and she edited the camera file and only copied the cameras located in the southeastern US states and saved it to another file. I uploaded it and checked it out and it worked fine. I also changed the displayed message to: 'Warning red light camera'. You could edit it to say anything you like....
