Blue Beacon Truck & RV Wash Discussion thread

I have compiled a list of Blue Beacon Truck & RV Wash locations.

Blue Beacon has also been kind enough to list nearby dump stations for rv's and trucks with holding tanks.

This file is now available at the link listed below.

I am always around...

Miss POI works 7 days a week;) It is just part of having a website that is always open.
I would take this job over a regular 9 to 5 any day.
I love being involved with so many interesting people.

Is is possible to get this POI is CSV format?

Thank you

Use EPE

Use Extra POI Editor (available here: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/28107?page=11) to convert the file to csv and many others

How do I convert files to csv format using the EPE?

Welcome

Welcome to the site.

There is a Getting Started button in the upper right of this page right under POI Files. It is worthwhile visiting this page.

To make navigation easy, most browsers provide the following option. When you want to follow a link - but still keep your current page open - you can hold down the "Ctrl" key as you left-click on a link. That action will open a new "Tab" in your browser up on the "Tab" bar. When you then left-click on that new "Tab", you will follow the link - leaving the "Tab" you are now reading open and available to click on and return here.

So, using the "Getting Started" link, you might try the "Ctrl" - left-click sequence and then return here. You can return by either "X-ing" out of the "Getting Started" page (using the "X" on the "Tab" itself) or just left-clicking on the "Tab" for the page you are on right now.

Since you are new here, I encourage you to go through a couple of the Beginner Education FAQs.

The first link makes sure the settings on your computer are such that you can do more advanced POI loading.

The next link helps you make a backup of your GPS by attaching it to your computer. (NEVER do anything to your GPS until you have a backup)

Now, let's talk about conversion to .csv. I assume that you have the Blue Beacon .gpx file. Realize that you can use POI Loader to load it onto your 5510 without any need for conversion.

There are some good FAQs about EPE. I would start with
Downloading and Installing EPE {G}
and
Configuring EPE {G}

Then, open the .gpx file in EPE and decide what fields from the Blue Beacon File you want to retain, because they will all have to be concatenated into the fourth field of the .csv file - which just points out why I think you ought to just use the .gpx file.

Play around with concatenating the desired fields into one of the .csv "profiles" that you can access by clicking on the "Options" tab of the EPE menu. I think any of the default user profiles will work for this file. Do a "Save As" on the file and be sure to select a "Save as type" of "4 column .csv".

Try it out.

Let us know how we can help you enjoy your GPS.

CSV file?

Has anyone found a CSV file for this? I would download and use the converter (POI-editor) and build one myself but I have a Mac and as far as I know no one has released a Mac version for the conversion software.

Thanks for maintaining this file. My company just started a program where we can drive into any BB and get our truck and trailer washed for free (well the trucking company pays for it). I needed to know the locations and here it is!
