poi files and how they will work with my garmin 205w

ok just joined here today and i know more then i could ever want. ok my question is 1st, is my garmin 205w compadable with garmin loader software for poi?
2nd, after loading a poi file, how will it work? i just setup a root like normal and the, say speedcam spots will just show up on my root with some kind of warning?
You will need to install poi
You will need to install poi loader to your computer for downloading custom pois see http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/
Would also install webupdater to make sure your unit has the latest updates at http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater/
Go to this link on step by step for downloading and installing pois http://www.poi-factory.com/node/15804 .Once you install your custom pois just go to where to,extras then touch custom pois and select the one you want to be directed to and hit go to.
Make sure to read the FAQ located at the top of the page.Lots of information for the Garmin units.

Nicebadboy518 i too have had these Qustions so let me try to make it simple.
Your 1rst ? is yes it's one of 2 ways to load and for now the easiest.
2nd ? when you load the speed cams they will be in an fill on your gps under extras and will alert when you get close to the location that is if you have loaded in manual and set the distance. There is alot of info on this and I still am learning where to find it all good luck.. charlesd45 has given you some guidelines.

thanks for the info. the only think i found out is my unit doesnt suport mp3 but thats ok. i just boght this and i think i got a good price, it was $199 and free shipping. its a garmin 205w
No MP3 support
I have the 205w and convert the mp3 files to wav and they work just fine.

When I was in Circuit City and Best Buy over here in Pasco County they had stacks of the 200 series on sale.Really good prices.Lots of people looking.I got my 265wt at Circuit City on Black Friday and the Salesman said they had sold fast.Only a few left when I got mine.
