I bought a Nuvi 350 last year and decided to upgrade. The thing about the 350 I liked was that it had a Truck and Bus setting for navigation. Since I drive a charter bus, it really came in handy. I bought a Nuvi 760 this week, bus the Truck and Bus setting is missing! Does anyone know if there is a software upgrade for this, and if not, how can you tell what units have this setting.... for the next upgrade!
No such luck for the 760
No such luck for the 760 sorry pal, i too was dissapointed in this, as i drive a commercial vehicle.
The discontinued 600 series has it. im not aware that any of the new nuvi's has it.
I also think but not sure the 5000 (the big nuvi) has it too, i would confirm first though. good luck.
Didn't do me much good!

I never had much confidence in the 'Bus' setting as I set my nuvi350 to 'Bus' and 'Avoid Unpaved Roads'. It then took me on a water-covered pasture trail along a fence line. The ironic thing is there was a good road withing 1/2 mile of it.

Truck and Bus Setting
I do miss the Truck and Bus setting. I never used the bus setting because it still would lead me down smaller streets that were tough turning off of. But the truck setting usually wouldnt steer me wrong. Garmin should have never have taken that feature off. Yet another way to get the people who use it to spend more money for a newer model.
