Garmin DVD essential (stating the obvious)

I finally figured out that the DVD is essential to making the Tourguide that we want. Having read a topic line about the successful making of one of these including mp3 and jpg. I am really loooking forward to Garmin delivering the goods. I will then become the bane of the site with all the questions in the world about how to get it going. I am also looking to sharing my TourGuides as Ive already had expressed interest in them.

I didnt think it was absolutely apparent that the DVD is needed ........... so ........

.gpx extension required

With the MapSource dvd it is pretty easy to create TourGuides.

I don't think it's the only way to do it. Any program that will allow you to save in .gpx should work just fine.
MapSource is the only one I've used, since it was fairly simple I haven't tried anything else.
One thing for sure is that the file has to be saved as a .gpx file.
