Includes 298 locations in the following areas:

United States: AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV
some may be in: DC, IL, MEX (near a border)

This file contains Civil War Battle locations as taken from www.cr.nps.gov/hps/abpp/civil.htm and then located on Google Earth for GPS coordinates. (Most sites were "pre-located" by an obviously devoted battlefield mapper.) In addition, some of my research took me to actual national and state battlefield websites.

Unfortunately, I cannot vouch for the exact location of each POI as I have yet to be able to visit each one. Many may be no more than a marker if even that. In addition, due to battlefields not encompassing a set point, it is definitely advised to research the area before letting your GPS lead you.

I will add more as my lunch hour allows.

Final note: the file will need to be edited before loading to your unit.

Let me know if you use any of the POI's and if they are close to their target.

All states completed. Virginia is different from the rest as I have set the coordinates for many to visitor centers and museums as a beginning point.
