Spoken street names (760)

Sorry for the stupid question. But is my 760 supposed to have spoken street names as I approach turns? I noticed in the Amazon add there was a check in that column.

I don't.

Do you have a TTS voice selected ????????
Probably can select one at Tools>Settings>Language>Voice

I personally use "Jack" because the Better Half likes the male voice - soothing !

Are you talking about when you are doing a route or when you are just navigating? My 2820 speaks the street name while routing, otherwise no.

I don't have a "Jack" only several languages and I'm using "American English".

I have many PND's, but I think I used to have a male and a female voice that did do routed voice street names.

Run WebUpdater to ensure that you have all the TTS voices.

You maybe looking at the wrong line. When you select a voice language: Tools / Settings / Language / Voice. You need to make sure you choose one that has TTS at the end of it. You should have about 6 english choices. If you choose American English or British English then you will not get the street names.

All is well now. I had no

All is well now. I had no TTS voices listed, but after I re ran updater they are back. Now I'm wondering if I lost them when my 760 froze, and if updater was able to see that they weren't there.
