Register your GPS on http://my.garmin.com. If you have purchased your GPS recently, and have last year's maps (the 2008 maps) you may qualify for a free map upgrade. Go to the myMaps section after you have registered. If you qualify for a free map upgrade, it should be listed here, if I recall correctly. If you don't qualify, you will need to purchase the new maps.
