Hello all,
I am very new to using my Garmin. So please excuse my NOOBIE-NES.
Question:
I downloaded A new voice for my device. I installed the file in the correct folder. Yet it does not show the custom voice in the list of possible voices.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

what unit do you have?
what folder did you install the voice in?

What GPS unit model and what voice? The voice might not be compatible with the unit.

Fun...the voice choices are "slim pickings" compared to the ones available for the Tom Tom.

how can you know what voices work on which unit?
The red light voice works but nothing else.

This thread is discussing the overall unit voices.
The redlight alert is either a default beep or a Custom Audio Alert which is a separate file.
These are different from the voices.
Read the FAQs about alert for more information. However, it's important to understand the the Redlight file will alert by default. Regular POIs will not. You must SET an alert if you want to be alerted.
