I love Mondays

Every Monday morning I feel like the gal holding the checkered flag in a car race and everyone is just at the keyboard waiting for me to give the signal.

I love it!!!

What a great way to start each week.

Miss POI

Ah come on it has to be faster than three minutes!

Three minute reaction?
A little slow on acceleration from the flag guys.. lets see some faster times. we should be talking seconds here.
Good luck next week. And next week don't be asleep at the switch.

Miss Poi maybe it would more fun to held in suspense like the Turkey and have a little different time window give or take an hour during your duty's.

A great day for Canadian Football.

Congratulations to the Calgary Stampeders for their claim to the Gray Cup. It does a city and a country proud any time a championship is won.

Garmin-Slipstream Chipotle Cycling Team

I went to the team presentation last Saturday in Boulder Colorado. What a great event!
Here are some details: http://garmin.blogs.com/my_weblog/2008/11/team-garmin-sho.ht...

I am looking forward to the 2009 season where this team will be on the podium many times!

Have a great day!

Hi all,

I guess I am the last one. I drove on 21 November 2009 from Toronto to Edmonton via States - Chicago, North Dakota then Edmonton. It was amazing, I have Nuvi 680. Only challenge is I dont have updated camera and I am not active user, lol. So, I wont get it free, I guess.

The only thing is missing, if you drive from Toronto to Edmonton some speed signs are wrong are not updated. And some highway information is not updated in Edmonton.

I felt confident where I was going and I am not lost at all. Map is so accurate, I love it.

I have 2009 North America map and one year fm thing.

Here I am in Alabam

We made it, no problem. The nuvi 880 got a workout though. First off, the Mass Pike where it joins 495-South was closed headed west and there were no markers. And I could not understand the guy who tried to tell us how to go EAST far enough to reach the next ticket booth. So with the wind howling but no other weather complications, we cut cross country to where hubby knew he could get on the Pike going west. He said "Wooster" but that could also be "Worchester" which they pronounce the same way. ......and they think southerners talk funny.
grin

GREAT being down south before winter sets in with a vengence up there.

well, really it's NJ vs. NJ now

both teams play at the current Giants Stadium, and they are building the new stadium together. Both are, and will be, NJ based teams!

Happy Thanksgiving - Be careful going thru AZ

Anyone traveling for the holidays and going through AZ, be careful. The Highway Patrol is using mobile speed camera units every twenty miles along I-10 and I-40 that will be triggered at 10 mph over the speed limit.

Ditto!

In hard times it is difficult sometimes to remember what to be thankful for, but if you look hard enough there is always something to be thankful for.

I appreciate all the military folks, Police, Fire, Hospital staff, and even the store clerks who are providing services for us while away from thier families and loved ones.

My wife is working this

My wife is working this holiday weekend, just comes with the territory when you work in a hospital. This being said however, don't let that stop the rest of you from over eating and looking like an over stuffed bird on a sofa! (LOL) Hmmmmmm, NOW WHICH ONE IS THE TURKEY! (LOL)

Back at Home for Thanksgiving

After having spend the previous several days in Ohio with my sons, visiting my relatives celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now, off to spend Thanksgiving with my wifes side of the family.

Oh, please; I couldn't eat another bite. Well, maybe just one more piece... razz

And now, back to your regularly scheduled forum - already in progress . . .

Wow just got home from Ashland, OH to Chicago, IL
Bet you seen some snow on that trip. Today is the first day I've seen the sun in a week and it's been snowing and extra cold for this time of year, here in the Cleveland area.

Glad you had a good time with your family, go ahead and eat that one more piece!

Missed Black Friday, waiting for Cyber Monday

With relatives still around on Friday, I'm hoping for some good deals on Cyber Monday. I need an inexpensive receiver for a sound system I bought on Amazon earlier today. We have a small den 12 x 12 so it need not be very powerful. I saw a couple on the walmart site (JVC and Pioneer), but not sure what I need to look for when picking one out. I'll check CNET and if any of you have suggestions, let me know!

Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving!
