Trouble seting up POI Loader

I recently lost everything on my hard drive. I don't remember having any trouble seting POI Loader up the last time...But. I am tring to "select where to save Points of Interest to: I chose MapSource (advanced). NEXT---> Please select a name for your saved POI file: I typed "POI File" --->NEXT---> Please select the directory where the data files can be found: BROWSE--C:\> ---> No mater what I pick it says---> No data files in that directory, please select on with csv or gpx files.

What am I going wrong?

.

Are you selecting the FOLDER on your computer into which you have placed your Custom POI data files?

Also, be aware that by select the MapSource option in POI Loader, POI Loader will create a file on your computer named POI.GPI. It will not be loaded automatically onto your GPS unit and MapSource cannot currently read GPI files.

If you are trying to load the Custom POIs onto your GPS unit, then you need to select that option in the initial (or second) screen and then select the SOURCE of the data on your computer.

I have not tried selecting

I have not tried selecting the "Garmin Device". It is on the Harly right now.
If I select the Device, will I be able to load the POIs on more than 1 device?
Thanks,
Ken

Please select the directory

Please select the directory where the data files can be found:

What do I use here?

You choose the folder on your computer where the POIs are located after downloading from POI-Factory.

I downloaded the Wal-Mart

I downloaded the Wal-Mart poi file and then searched the computer for csv. Found it then did Properties. Copied the Location---->Pasted it in the blank and.............IT WORKED!!!

Thanks for the help,

garmin device

If you have more than one gps unit, you will have to handle each one seperate, you will need to complete one download and then remove the one hooked to the computer and then hook the other one and have it load and then do the download.
