From my heart
To all our Veterans, we have both living and those that are not, Freedom is not easy to achieve and maintaining it is even harder. Your sacrafice makes our life easier to live as a free spirit.
On this special day set aside for you, I pray for the departed and salute the living.
May God Bless you always
Thank you for your service and God Bless America
To all our Veterans, Thank you
Thank you for serving.
THANK YOU VETERANS!
Thank you for our freedom!
Thanks to all those who served and are currently serving. I appreciate all you do to protect and ensure the freedom that we have here in the USA.
Thank you to all the Veterans who have served in our Armed Forces and kept our country free. Your willingness to protect and maintain our values is sincerely appreciated.
There are not enough words to express the gratitude for those that have served and are serving. You are a major part of what makes this nation great.
In keeping with the theme of Veteran's Day and this thread I salute all who have served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces.
Last evening MSNBC.com and Nightly News did a video called Highway of Heroes. It is about a Canadian mother who lost a son in the current fighting. If you get a chance take a look at this poignant and moving video. It puts into perspective what our veterans and the Canadians mean to both our countries and watching would be a good tribute to honor those serving today.
May God Bless America!
Thanks to all the men and women of the armed forces past and present, and to all you do and have done!
May God Bless You and Keep you in the palm of HIS hands!
Thank you Vets...of all wars & conflicts.
Warms the hearts of all of us that served and to those that lost their way on the road home... We remember. Thank you vets!
What a great tribute, for those that missed it:
Bush honors veterans at aircraft carrier Intrepid
USS Intrepid (Nicknamed "Evil I")
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else whether on land, sea or in the air....
You have kept us safe from attack since 9/11! We are forever grateful.
To all vets:
The debt we owe to you can only be repaid by the rest of those in our country by making sure our politicians remember the price you paid to keep us free and never let them diminish your service or our freedom.
"Mejor morir a pie que vivir a rodillas."
Better to die on your feet than live on your knees.
Thank you all vets for the dedication
Many times in today's haste we forget to pay respect to those men and women who have sacrificed that we might enjoy the life we do! Thank you to all the veterans!!!
It's the soldier, not the reporter,
Who gave us our freedom of the press.
It's the soldier, not the poet,
Who gave us our freedom of speech.
It's the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who gave us our the freedom to demonstrate.
It's the soldier, Who salutes the flag,
Who serves others with respect for the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protestor to burn the flag.
Father Denis Edward O'Brien, USMC
To all veterans and active service military - A BIG THANK YOU!!
And to my son who is deploying to Iraq today... don't do anything stupid and be careful!
It was sad to see on the news how we are down to one last WW1 Vet. He is 108 if I recall correctly.
That is why Veterans Day is on 11/11 in honor of the end of WW1.
My grandfather was a WW1 Vet and proud of his service to his country. Used to enjoy being in the parades with his VFW Chapter.
God Bless all vets and those currently serving and those who will be serving. And may God Bless America.
