You might be right. I

You might be right. I searched the Amazon sites in the UK and Germany, and neither seems to have new Nokia GPS systems...

Seems like Nokia is still in the GPSr business

Nokia bought Navteq, Navteq builds Navigons. Does it make any sense to compete with its self?

I could be wrong, but from what I understand Navigon just bought a small part of the Navteq business not the major part that Nokia bought, and is not affiliated with Nokia. When Nokia started to market their own GPS, Navigon had been building them for awhile. Even though Nokia owns Navteq, it is run as a separate company.

Which also brings us to does Garmin want to support Nokia when they will have competing products. Should Garmin develop their own maps? Do they have the manpower and funds to do it?
