Hmmmm How would you

Ok here's another question I have on how would you make the speed camera alert only alert you if you are driving over the posted speed!!

I do understand how to set the poi loader and I did redo the cvs fill by adding the @ before the speed (speed camera@65) as per the help on poi loader and the threads on this webb site and I did set poi loader to manual. Took it for a drive and the alert works, the drop down window turns red if you are speeding which is nice but it still alerts regaurdless of speed.
Here in Phx we have a few cameras that are about 1 mile to 1.5 miles apart for about 5 miles on the interstate. Also when you are going the oppostite direction the alert will alert and that direction does not have a camera. Very annoying to be alerted that often.

So is there away to have the alert set so it only alerts you by going over the set speed or speeding, keep in mind that there are different speed for these cameras so to set the one speed on the poi loader won't work for all cameras, and if not is there a way to set the poi for North, South, East, West direction so it won't alert if there is not a camera on the other side of the interstate. You can see the camera on the other side but it won't affect the other direction.

As always thanks for all the great help.

Speed Alerts

To answer in part;

1. No direction is possible on proximity alerts.

2. "In CSV files, speed alerts can be set by adding @30 (any number preceeded by an @) to the end of the name field (column 3).

GPX files also include special tags for setting speed and distance alerts."

confused

confused ok as I stated I have put @ before the speed ie: @65. So what happens when you put the @ after the speed. Will this alert me if I drive over 65!!
This is what I would like it to do only ALERT if I drive over the speed set for the poi. confused

Here's the sample cvs:
-112.- - - - 33.- - - - Speed Camera @ 65 MPH
This alerts when your close to the camera and if you are driving 66mph or higher the drop down window will turn red and alert activates again and tells me to slow down speed camera ahead. This is fine but as stated I would like it to only alert if I drive faster than the poi set speed ie: 65 or 45 ect, in the cvs file. Is this possiable to do.

.

You will get alerted in advance of the speed alert location no matter what speed you are traveling. You will only CONTINUE to receive an alert while you are within the alert distance IF you travel ABOVE the set speed.

Thank You

Thank you motorcycle Mama thats what I wanted to know.

@

With a csv POI file: when you place an alert using the @ (Name@65) in the POI line, that alert is top priority. You DO NOT have to be in the manual mode when loading. It makes no difference if you place an alert using manual mode or put a number in the file name, that particular alert will not be overridden by any other alert method. It will be the "top dog"! You will receive an alert whenever you drive at or over the alert speed set with the @.

What are you referring to as "when you put the @ after the speed"?
If you mean put the @ as Name65@, there will be no alert set.
If you mean put the @ as Name@65@, it will not affect the 65 mph alert set with the @65.
