nüvi 255 routes?

Garmin's website says neither the 200 nor the 255 support routes. However, this evening, when I selected new via points, the 255 kept the previous ones. I effectively created a route with multiple via points. The nüvi 200 only supported 1 via point at a time and replaced the previous one with the new one.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does this mean I should be able to create routes with MapSource?
Yes

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
Mine Works Also
I checked to see if my Nuvi 260 W which was loaded by Garmin with 255 W Software would allow numerous Way Points and It Does. I created a Route with 3 way points and it showed them all in order.
Thanks
Yes, I have noticed this on
Yes, I have noticed this on a 255W. I was trying to work out a route that was neither fastest or shortest (most scenic). I needed more than one via point in order to force the route I wanted. Problem is, this was all done in my living room. Friday I will make the trip and see if it really works. What I discovered is the via points have to be entered backwards, that is, closest to the destination first.
I would doubt that you could enter one through mapsource but really don't know because I don't have that program.

I was interested to read this the other day and tried it last night. It works! I don't know if this is intentional on Garmin's part, but hey ... it's there and I will use it on occassion.

Multiple VIA's 205w
My 205w accepted multiple via's as well and displayed the route with "show map"
I haven't as yet tried driving the route.
Multiple VIA's
Has anyone tried entering vias that are way out of the way or between the start point and the previous via?
Multiple via points
I noted above a route that I worked out. I never really got the opportunity to try it. Once I was in Canada and ready to set it up, I had someone following me and was in traffic. I only got one of the points in so I didn't really find out if it worked. I did, however (when experimenting at home prior to the trip), see that both of the points were in the listing of turns for the whole trip so I think it would have worked if only I had the opportunity to get it set up.
In specific answer to the second part of your question, the new ones have to be entered between the previous via point and the start or current point. I have to state that I didn't really try doing them in the other sequence. That will be a project for the next trip.
