Submitting corrections for poi files.

When submitting corrections for poi files it is important to note which file you are submitting the correction for. I know that when you go to the file and click on the maintainers name it may appear or you may think that he or she would know which file is being referred to but that isn’t the case. I for example maintain several discount store files, several bank files and a few others, so when I get an email stating the correct coordinates for the AnyTown USA store should be “xx.xxxx, -xx.xxxx “ it has little meaning to me. On the other hand if I am giving the store name, address etc there is no doubt in my mind what file I need to correct.

Miss poi, would it be feasible to send the poi file info to the maintainer when the email is submitted, or have a form to fill out when submitting corrections?

Thanks to all who do submit these corrections, I don’t want this to sound negative and for the most part the information submitted is sufficient to make the corrections, but occasionally it isn’t.

We will eventually have a issue tracking process that will help us with these issues.
What I have found useful is when a user provides a link to the file page that their update relates to.
