.

Each time you send maps from MapSource to your SD card, a file containing named GMAPSUPP.IMG containing all the maps you send is created on the card. It overwrites any previous GMAPSUPP.IMG file on the card.

So, you need to send ALL the maps to the SD card at the same time. You can't ADD maps. You must re-send them along with the new maps.

So, in MapSource you will need to select the map segments from one product that you want, then use the drop down list to select the map segments from the next map product that you want to send. Then once ALL the map segments from each product are selected and are listed under the Map Tab in MapSource, THEN send ALL the maps at the same time to your SD card.

Then go get some coffee or go watch TV because it may take a while for them to transfer.

Note, that if you have a card reader, the map transfer will be faster by placing the card in the card reader rather than in the nuvi itself.

my next question is where

my next question is
where to get canada europe maps? as I only have citinavigator maps that I downloaded from garmin site as they allowed one download

Canadian maps

One free source of Canadian topo maps is http://www.ibycus.com/ibycustopo/

They also have a US base map that has more up to date streets than the base map included with US TOPO 2008, although, there is no topo for their US maps yet. For example the new street of my boss' home is on US City Navigator NT 2009 and ibycus US base map, but not US TOPO 2008.

But you need MapSource to install maps. I purchased US TOP 2008 maps which came with MapSource. I installed one set of topo maps for IL-WI to OHIO on an SD and separate Las Vegas to Grand Canyon set for a recent trip in my nuvi 750 RAM. I can either select street maps or both sets of topo maps at once (if city maps are selected they override topo).

But maybe as mentioned if you transfer a specific set of maps to one destination, you have to select all the maps you want, and if saved to SD, they overwrite whatever was on that as one set of maps.
