Garmin c530: All distance mileage under favorites are incorrect except current address 0mile

It comes my attention that all of distance mileage under favorites are incorrect except current address 0 mile. But they are correct under trip odometer. What's wrong with it? The software and maps are the latest version. I tried remove all favorites and added them back twice but they still show up incorrect distance mileage.

Initially, they're shown as straight line distances. It can only know the distance by road, when it's calculated a route and applied your preferences (Shortest | Fastest + any 'avoidances').

I've made a couple of trips to one of favorites but it still shows initial mileage (straight line distance like you said). The route and preference had been applied I guess. Why not the mileage?

As Hornbyp wrote, the distances to your favorites are straight line distances, as the crow flies. When you tell the unit to "Go" there, it calculates the route and shows the mileage you'll drive to get there.
It does not store the route, the distance or anything else so when you display your favorites it again shows that straight line distance until you tell it to "Go" there again.

If you go to the trip page,that will tell you the actual distance.

It shows the distance from the GPS's location not drive distance

It always shows the straight line distance as the crow flys from wherever the GPS unit is at that moment to the favorite you select. It doesn't calculate the driving distance till you hit "GO".
