Garmin 260W POI redlight cams

Hi There,

A newbie here -
Recently purchased a 260W. I loaded a speed_camera.csv file I found for Phoenix, AZ that had only three listings.

Nuvi set to 2D maping.
Garmin loader V2.5.2
Files were loaded "NOT manual"

When I run a simulation from Hayen to Scottsdale on the 101 I get an bong alert sound and a alert display note on-screen. Good!

After I additionally loaded in the Redlight and speedcam files from POI Factory along with renamed icon and .wav files to match I get no .wav or icon.
When I go back after this new load I find only the same three listings again. Download sucsessful-

.WAV support has been put back into POI Loader V2.5.2. As well as being undocumented, the change is not complete - Garmin forgot to ship SOX.EXE with it. (POILoader will tell you where it expects to find it.)

Should I see all the new custom POI's from your file?
Is the icon for showing the POI position?

Thanks for any help here.

.

I'll try to answer some of your questions.

The custom icons merely replace the dot that acts as a default icon for all custom POIs.

Upon conclusion of a POI Loader run, you should get a notice of how many locations were loaded. Each time you run the program, you must load all the POI files at once, since it overwrites the previous file.

There are multiple SOX files, and not all work, make sure you get the one that does.

Yes, all custom POIs should be visible under EXTRAS/Custom-POIs.

I recommend you read Motorcycle Mama's suggestion for creating categories on your computer: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/8674
You would then point to the parent directory/folder to load all the files in the sub folders at the same time.

Upon load conclusion I do get a notice of how many files loaded but it seems not to change. 13344?

I have all files to be loaded in their own sub-directory.

I'll try another sox.exe.

Thanks!

I have no idea what Garmin rev POI loader I have because I can't find any rev numbers!

I can't find a download for the 2.5.2 version. Does anyone have it for download?

Thanks,

same icon wav issue

I think there is an issue with the 2.5.3 loader. I also have the same issue with .bmp and .wav files not showing up or working. I found other people with the same problem and the only common thing is that we are using 2.5.3. Is there any place we can get 2.5.2? (or does someone want to try 2.5.3 and see if they now have the same issue?)

Okay - It seems if I tried to erase my extra POI files with the SD card installed, the one speed cam file containing three locations in internal Nuvi memory would nor erase. I removed the card and erased again and memory was cleared completly of extra POI's.

I reloaded the POI factory redlight / speed cam file and icons seem to show but I haven't tried the simulation for the .wav files.
