Activating poi files on Garmin 350

I am a newbie with poi business. Have downloaded POI download software. Have downloaded and saved poi files to computer and a SD disk.
Question: How do I access poi information in the Nuvi 350 unit after inserting the SD card? I don's see any way of keying in my subject area.
Viewing POI's on Nuvi 350
After you've transferred custom POIs to your GPS with POI Loader, they can be found at this location:
Where to? > My Locations > Custom POIs

I thought having the poi data on the SD card would keep the Garmin unit uncluttered.

When you attach your Nuvi to your PC, you should have two additonal drive letters, one is for your Nuvi, the other is for your SD Card. So when you load your POI's with POI loader, just select the drive letter that belongs to your SD card instead of your Nuvi drive letter and your POI's will then load on your SD card instead of your Nuvi.
