is there a way to get rid of the new map update available popup in the nuvis? it there a file i can delete. whats the gmapprom.sum file? is the the popup warning?

It is odd to me that how Nuvi knows there is a new map update?

It has been reported by others in the past that the notice will stop on its own after a little while.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
